Water main flushing will be conducted on May 20th through June 28th. Flushing will begin Monday May 20th at 8:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. Flushing will be continued May 21th through Friday June 28th during the daylight hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Discolored or red water may be expected along with periods of low water pressure in some areas.
Locations most likely to be affected are those south of Route 6 extending from Main Street east to Aucoot Road and including Crescent Beach, Point Connett, Hollywoods, and Peases Point.
Chlorine will be injected into the system before flushing begins and will continue for a period after flushing is completed.
